As an avid surfer I’ve always been fascinated by how the confluence of certain conditions of coastline topography, bathymetry, swell, and wind direction create ridable waves. I started a poster series showcasing my favorite surf spots in San Diego county.
With the help of pictures, Google Maps, and my own visual memory from multiple visits I am recreating each surf spot in a simplified way aiming to emphasize its specific features. I worked with Cinema4D and Blender for modeling and renders, and I used QGIS to import geospatial information. Each poster is printed on matte archival paper.
